Lucknow, Oct 8: In order to mark the Silver Jubilee (25th anniversary) of the Uttar Pradesh Diabetes Association (UPDA), a grand three-day annual conference, ‘UPDACON-2026’, will be held from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Hotel Taj Palace in Lucknow. The conference, organized by an association that has played a pioneering role in the prevention and treatment of diabetes over the past 25 years, will prove to be a milestone in the world of modern medicine.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Diabetes 360 Degrees: Beyond Numbers, Beyond Targets, Beyond Boundaries.” Its primary objective is to shift the focus of diabetes management beyond mere blood sugar figures and targets, centering instead on a holistic approach that encompasses the patient’s overall health, lifestyle, mental well-being, and modern medical techniques.
More than 600 senior physicians and delegates from across the state and the country have registered for the conference. More than 100 renowned speakers will deliver lectures on new research, medications, and the management of complications related to diabetes during this three-day scientific deliberation. Similarly more than 100 scientific research papers covering the latest aspects of diabetes will be presented by young researchers and senior experts.
The Association President Dr. Manoj Kumar Srivastava and Organizing Chairman Dr. Anuj Maheshwari said in a statement that the nature of diabetes and its treatment had undergone revolutionary changes over the past 25 years. The conference will serve as a powerful platform to connect doctors from across the country with modern research and new standards of treatment.
The conference’s scientific chairman, Dr. Narsingh Verma and organising secretary Dr. Abhishek Arun, said that the three-day ‘scientific extravaganza’ would feature in-depth discussions on key topics such as insulin therapy, cardio-renal protection, lifestyle modification, and the use of artificial intelligence.
