UP ATS inspector resigns in protest

Lucknow, May 31: Even as several unanswerable questions have erupted over the mysterious suicide of additional SP UP ATS Rajesh Sahni and the state government under pressure has recommended the CBI investigation, an inspector of the ATS Yatendra Sharma today shot of a letter to the DGP UP quitting from the service.

Sharma, lauding the services Sinha being rendered to the ATS for the last four years, has accused IG ATS Asim Arun of misbehaviour and other irregularities rampant in the department. Sharma said the functioning in the ATS was not on the right path. He has demanded impartial inquiry into the death of Sinha.

Meanwhile resentment is also brewing among the PPS officers in the state over the death of Sinha. The state government in order to avoid any further controversy has quickly asked for the CBI probe.  Sharma asking the DGP to accept his resignation letter has also sought protection to his family members.
