New Delhi, January 29: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s comment that political leaders who donot fulfil the dream they peddle will get thrashed by the people is in fact poor reflection on the BJP’s “Acche Din” promise during the 2014 Lok Sabha election. The LGP said that senior BJP leaders now in the run up to the forthcoming general election have started realising that they had made tall promises which could not be fulfilled.
The spokesman of the party said here on Tuesday that in order to grab power from the UPA II the NDA and especially the BJP had rolled out unmanageable promises which now lie shattered. The spokesman said the BJP had shown dreams to the people of the country but after five years in power it has landed in troubled waters as the people are asking questions about its poll promises.
The spokesman said the BJP along with its allies rode to power making promises of “acche din” and relief from the corrupt UPA government, which too had pushed the country to morass during its 10-year dispensation. But even after lapse of five years in power the hapless people are still yearning for promised “good days” and solution to their perennial economic problems. The spokesman said the NDA government had in fact been a big failure on major issues which had long been confronting the nation. The BJP had promised job creation, inflation, end to corruption, bringing back black money, improving the sluggish economy, improving security on border but there is no change in the situation so far. On job creation reports from various sectors indicated that NDA government had received the worst rating as there was widespread disappointment among the jobless youth. Despite tall claims last five years have also not seen upgrade in rating of the Indian economy. The spokesman said India’s economy was rated just above junk level, and the NDA government has been able to do nothing towards earning an upgrade. The spokesman said the BJP has been presenting distorted facts about Housing for All, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and JanDhan Yojana, Ujjawal scheme and other issues. The spokesman further said that on inflation front the government has failed to reduce the cost of living and the nation is yet to come out of the adverse impact of demonetization which was extremely lopsided and inconsistent move to fight the corruption and black money.
