New Delhi, March 4: The Lok Gathbandhan Party today said that the NDA government cannot hide its all-round failure during last five-year governance by exploiting tension between India and Pakistan. The LGP said that the country is fully united behind the armed forces and there cannot be even an iota of doubt about its efficiency but the way BJP has been desperately trying to politicise the issue after IAF strike in Balakot (Pakistan) for its vested interest should be condemned. The LGP said Indian armed forces are above politics and never in the past they were dragged for political gains.
The spokesman said here on Monday that the NDA government’s five-year report card is quite dismal and hence the ruling establishment has been making efforts to change the political narrative in the run up to general election and pushing the burning people’s issues under the carpet. Calling upon the people to be vigilant of machination of the BJP to mislead them by raising emotive issues, the spokesman said the NDA government’s “Naya Bharat” slogan cannot be visualised without rooting out rampant corruption and eliminating criminalisation of the politics. The misleading slogan of “Naya Bharat” based on emotive issues is directionless and not in national interest, the spokesman said and added without addressing to the core issues being faced by the poor people a right development and welfare path cannot be achieved.
The spokesman said instead of accusing the opposition the BJP-led NDA should convincingly explain what it has done during the last five years on economic and development front. The spokesman said since the BJP has nothing positive to tell, it is raking up issues unconnected with the direct welfare of the people. The spokesman said that NDA’s story is the story of utter failure on economic front as the country has been passing through massive crisis. The spokesman said BJP leaders are maintaining stoic silence on the performance of NDA and hunting to clutch emotive straw that could help them. The spokesman said it is high time to evaluate the pro-poor performance of the NDA government and not sway away by just slogans and fake claims. The spokesman said five-year India’s economic growth story has been miserable, as it has not positively impacted the people across the social spectrum.
