Rising NOTA indicates voters’ frustration against corruption: Lok Gathbandhan Party

New Delhi, December 13: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today that rising percentage of NOTA (none of the above) votes in just-concluded assembly elections has given enough indication of people’s disenchantment with prevailing corrupt political system in the country. The LGP said available voting data indicated that number of NOTA crossed victory margins of people in large number of constituencies in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The spokesman of the party said here on Thursday that the people are fed up with corrupt politicians and hence in the absence of honest alternative opted for NOTA vote in large number. The spokesman said there is no doubt that the people are hankering for change as most of the present political parties have failed them. Therefore the LGP headed by former Secretary Government of India Vijay Shankar Pandey has been repeatedly calling upon the people detoxify the politics from corruption and criminals. The spokesman said present NOTA trend is enough to believe the changing mind set of the people. The spokesman said that in the absence of honesty, transparency and clean governance, the whole exercise of clean political environment is far-fetched. The spokesman said that only clean and honest governance is vital for transparent development and welfare of the people but political parties involved in massive corruption have failed to yield positive results in this connection. The spokesman called upon the people to join LGP movement under the leadership of Vijay Shankar Pandey to detoxify politics and governance from rampant corruption, official loot and mis-governance.

The spokesman said the electoral politics of deceit, deception and dishonesty in the country has assumed serious dimension and no political party is interested in improving the situation. The spokesman said prevailing dilapidated political system has completely failed to deliver. Laying stress on “New Politics”, the spokesman emphasized on weeding out dishonest and corrupt from political and administrative system, which, was necessary for protection of democratic values in the country. The spokesman said hypocrites should be discarded to make way for clean, honest, transparent and committed pro-people and experienced leaders for balanced development of the country.
