UP law and order continues to be bad: Lok Gathbandhan Party

Urban Mirror Correspondent

Lucknow, October 30: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said that crime situation continues to be bad in Uttar Pradesh as loot of Rs ten lakh from a cashier of gas agency in Gomti Nagar in broad-daylight has once again exposed the claim of the BJP government about the improvement in the law and order in the state. The LGP said in July a cash van was loot near Raj Bhawan also.

The spokesman of the party said here on Tuesday when such a serious situation is prevailing in the State Capital the crime scenario could be well-assessed in other parts of Uttar Pradesh. The spokesman said the trigger happy UP police had also killed Apple executive Vivek Tiwari earlier this month. The spokesman said while the crime situation has been deteriorating for the past one year, the national crime record bureau has also presented an appalling picture of the state. The spokesman said the crime situation was bad during the previous SP government but even after lapse of more than a year of BJP regime there has hardly been any improvement.

Pointing out that the BJP government’s priorities doesnot appear to be controlling the crime, the spokesman said the BJP leaders are simply interested in directionless emotive issue. The spokesman quoting NCRB report said criminal acts against the women, the cases of murder, child abuse and dowry deaths have specially registered a sharp increase in the state, which amply indicated utter failure of the state police machinery.

The spokesman said that the BJP government has been making desperate efforts to present a rosy picture of improvement but ground realities indicates that the law and order continues to be bad. The spokesman said that despite repeated tall claims by the government over the issue, the perception among the people is different because of declining law and order. The spokesman said people are feeling disenchanted with BJP government over this issue. The spokesman said the BJP rode to power on a promise of controlling crimes, which had assumed serious dimension during SP regime, but more than after a year in power the BJP government has landed in the same position. The spokesman said the BJP government’s effort for investment is unlikely to yield any positive result because of bad law and order condition.
