Urban Mirror Correspondent

Lucknow March 19: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has totally failed to deliver on development front during the last two years of its rule. The LGP said since the UP BJP leadership doesnot have to showcase its achievements it has resorted to diversionary tactics to mislead the people during the Lok Sabha elections.

The spokesman of the LGP headed by former Secretary Government of India Vijay Shankar Pandey, who is contesting Lok Sabha election from Faizabad, said that massive resentment is brewing among the people, especially in rural areas because of the non-performance of the BJP government. The spokesman said while developmental activities have come to standstill, law and order problem has assumed serious dimension. The spokesman said even as the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been making tall claims about two-year performance the ground realities are just the opposite. The spokesman further said that corruption has also assumed serious proportion all over the state. The spokesman said for this utter failure the BJP has fallen on emotive issues in the election.

The spokesman said the UP government’s tall claim about investors’ summit followed by so-called ground breaking ceremonies have proved non-starter forcing the BJP leaders to push it aside. The spokesman said the UP BJP failing in governance with honesty and transparency has thus been making desperate efforts to change the political narratives for Lok Sabha elections. Calling upon the people to be vigilant of the machination of the BJP and its diversionary tactics, the spokesman said the UP government performance under the BJP has been dismal as the people, especially in rural areas, are facing immense problems. The spokesman said the people had voted the BJP to power in 2017 on the promise of development, elimination of rampant corruption of SP regime and improvement in crime situation, but its two-year track record is no different from its predecessor. The spokesman said the people are feeling cheated, as there are only announcements, name-changing spree but no breakthrough at the ground level.
