NDA’s anti-corruption drive fake, meaningless: Log Party

Lucknow, September 30: The Log Party today said all talks of anti-corruption drive during the last six years has proved misleading as the situation has gone from bad to worse. The Log Party said except false promises, fight against rampant graft system does not appear to be on the agenda of political parties. The Log Party said that claim of the ruling party that black money menace has been brought under control is a farce.
The spokesman of the Log Party said here on Wednesday that corruption perception index (CPI) of Transparency International had also pointed out that the corruption in Indian political system through opaque electoral bonds in which the BJP has been the largest beneficiary. The spokesman said in the absence of honesty, transparency and clean governance, the whole exercise of balanced development and welfare is far-fetched and people should shun these forces. Pointing out that corruption is the central issue of the Indian politics, the spokesman said without its complete elimination from every sphere of life, the talk of development and growth is meaningless as it is fault-line in whole trajectory of the governance. The spokesman said it is for this reason the Log Party has been demanding complete ban of political funding by the corporate houses which has now led to emergence of crony capitalism. The spokesman said huge funds flowing from corporate houses to various political parties have turned out to be big menace in fight against corruption.
The spokesman said corporate funding has also become one of the major sources of converting black money into white. Expressing concern over circulation of huge black money in politics, the spokesman said the system introduced through electoral bonds will also not serve the purpose of transparency and stop inflow of black money in politics. The spokesman said corporate houses have evolved dubious means for money laundering and tax evasion in which large number of political parties are also playing major role. The spokesman said the Log Party, dedicated to honesty and transparency in public life, has been fighting for the eradication of the use of huge money in politics without which the concept of good governance is far-fetched.
