Lok Gathbandhan Party candidate VS Pandey cautions people in Ayodhya against corrupt politicians

Ayodhya/Lucknow, April 17: The Lok Gathbandhan Party national president and former Secretary Government of India Vijay Shankar Pandey, who is contesting Lok Sabha election from Faizabad, today called upon the people of the constituency to be vigilant in exercising their franchise and discard corrupt politicians.

Addressing series of public meeting in rural areas of the Ayodhya on Wednesday Mr Pandey said there was no development in the district as rampant corruption in government machinery in league with politicians has totally destroyed the system. Mr Pandey, who was district magistrate of Faizabad in 1992-93, said there has not been any change in the situation because neither the politicians nor the government officers bothered about the plight of the poor people. Mr Pandey said the nexus between corrupt politicians and officers in Ayodhya will have to be broken for the welfare of the people. Calling upon the people to support him, Mr Pandey said he would ensure elimination of corruption in the administration. Mr Pandey said without complete overhaul of the decayed system the administration cannot be made responsible to the people. The people in villages apprised Mr Pandey of innumerable problems being faced by them and negligent attitude of the official machinery.

Mr Pandey that unless the country was freed from clutches of politics of caste, communalism, black money and mafia-politicians connection, there was no possibility of their welfare and all-round development. Holding corrupt political system responsible for the pitiable condition of the people, Mr Pandey even after 70 years common man is struggling for basic facilities in his life. He said successive state and central governments have failed to provide higher education system to all and people are forced to given money to officers/employees to get their legitimate work done and become victim of dalas in the system. Mr Pandey said even for small ailment poor people are compelled to dispose of their land for treatment as the government had completely failed to make adequate arrangements for medical treatment of the people. Mr Pandey said there is urgent need of honest, experienced and transparent political leadership to take the country out of morass. He said had the political parties honestly done their job, the country would have joined the list of developed nations long back.
