BJP’s promises are just Jumla: Lok Gathbandhan Party

Urban Mirror Correspondent

New Delhi, October 11: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said that the comment of Union Minister for Surface and Transport Nitin Gadkari about fake promises during the 2014 Lok Sabha election has exposed the non-seriousness of the BJP and NDA government in governance. The LGP said the party, not interested in solving the problems of the people, has accepted that its tall promises during the 2014 election were just for political consumption and the party was never serious about it.

The spokesman said here on Thursday that not only Gadkari but BJP president Amit Shah too had admitted that the BJP’s promise of Rs 15 lakh in every bank account was a “jumla”. The spokesman said with these statements from BJP’s top leadership the people will have to be on guard about the promises being made by them in forthcoming state assembly election in MP, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. The spokesman said the NDA government’s “Sabka saath, Sabka Vikas” has also been badly exposed with cow vigilant groups running amok in several parts of BJP-ruled states. The spokesman also reminded the people about the fake promises of black money being brought from foreign countries, tackling it through demonetization, creating conducive atmosphere for businesses and its claim of improvement in overall economic condition of the economy. The spokesman said its tall claim about minimum government, maximum governance has also proved just Jumla. The spokesman said now with next year parliamentary election fast approaching the BJP has once again started rolling out promises which after Gadkari’s comment cannot be accepted.

The spokesman said the BJP had promised corruption-free governance but there is complete lack of honesty, transparency, good governance. The spokesman said the job creation was the biggest BJP promise but the strong perception prevailing among the people is that there has been total failure on this front causing widespread resentment among youth and they now want to know NDA’s another version of “ache din”. The spokesman said the people, who have lost faith in the NDA, will not be carried away by new BJP slogan of “Saaf Niyat, Sahi Vikas”. The spokesman said the people wanted to know what the NDA government has done to make the country’s economy more competitive, efficient, productive and raise the rank of the country across parameters.
